Barbara Hill is visionary and founder of Kingdom Builders Enterprises. She is an educator holding a MAT and also holds a NxLevel certification as a business instructor. She is a wife of over 32 years and mother of 3 young adult children. Both she and her husband, John, are long-time business owners and have consistently delivered their services with EXCELLENCE, DILIGENCE, and INTEGRITY. She also serves faithfully at her church in the same spirit.
In 2004, Barbara was called to this Kingdom assignment while complaining to God as to why it appeared that businesses were not supported at their local churches. After clearly hearing God’s correction that HE had not called pastors to this task, Barbara was given the assignment. With some trepidation, but always with a heart to be obedient, Kingdom Builders Enterprises was formed. Of course, what we know about a kingdom assignment is that it is from God and is to be discovered by man or woman, it is to a person or people and it is to reach the world for the kingdom to solve a problem. In Barbara’s case, the assignment could not be completed in and of herself. So, she took comfort in the fact that God does not call the qualified, but qualifies the called, and stepped out “in faith” to complete the assignment.
Barbara was instructed to create a vehicle that had the potential to be an “everlasting” cycle of wealth for the Kingdom. Patrons/consumers in the “body of Christ” could securely seek out and support Kingdom businesses that had been approved via a pre-screening process. Also, this vehicle was to equip and empower patrons with information to discern and rate a product’s and/or service’s level of EXCELLENCE, DILIGENCE, and INTEGRITY. Additionally, it was to be created in a way that would introduce and connect the Kingdom patron to the Kingdom businesses of members at his/her local church and thereby begin an “everlasting” cycle of wealth for The Kingdom.
AS THE KINGDOM, we have been called to dominate the earth! However, Barbara believes, that “we cannot and we will not dominate, as long as, we continue scattering our “Procurement Seed” into enterprises of the kingdom of darkness”. We speak not to the ”overused-misused-abused” label: Christian business, but to Kingdom principled businesses who are ready to join in to "embrace the vision - get in position - to get located - to take possession!
